All possible arrangements will be made to stop Corona infection – CM Shri Chouhan

Ministers will get responsiblity of inspection in districts

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that all possible efforts will be made to stop the spread of Corona infection in the state. Madhya Pradesh government will leave no stone unturned. Ministers are being entrusted with the responsibility of reviewing the efforts being made in various districts in the state to prevent Corona. The suggestions received from the ministers will also be implemented. Arrangements for patients will be increased in private hospitals. Rates are being determined for various tests. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was holding a discussion with members of the Cabinet through video conference from the temporary meeting hall of Minto Hall campus today. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also received suggestions from the Cabinet. At the outset, the national song Vande-Mataram was sung. Today’s Cabinet was held specifically to discuss measures related to Corona infection.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that last week the rates of different types of testing of Corona had been fixed. Steps are being taken to determine the rates of pathological tests and use of other machines like ventilators. The public will be informed about the new rates.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that efforts will be made to prevent infection in Shajapur and teams will also be sent from the capital. A new Covid Care Center is also under consideration in Bhopal in the private sector. Arrangements will be enhanced in other private hospitals as well as per requirement. Patients from poorer sections will be provided with treatment facilities under Ayushman Yojana.

Ventilators will be provided

It was informed that the state will be provided with 350 ventilators this week by the Government of India. The current bed capacity is 24 thousand which will be increased to 36 thousand this week.

Sunday lockdown will be imposed at 12 places

It was informed in the meeting that Sunday lockdown will remain unchanged in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ujjain, Vidisha, Chhindwara, Narsinghpur, Barwani, Betul, Khargone and Ratlam.

Volunteers will be made for different tasks

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan informed the ministers that ‘Mein Corona Volunteer Hun’ campaign has been started in the state from today to ensure maximum participation of every person in ending the Corona infection. Anyone can register as Corona Volunteer by contacting on number 181 or on the website https://mp.mygov.in/. All will carry out different types of tasks. Corona volunteers will inspire people to wear masks, practice social distancing and get vaccinated.

Positivity rate of cities of the state

It was informed in the meeting that Bhopal has the highest positivity rate of 20 percent in Madhya Pradesh. The positivity rate is 15 percent each in Indore, Barwani, Narsinghpur and Khargone, 14 percent in Ratlam, 13 percent in Betul, 12 percent in Jabalpur and 9 percent in Gwalior and Ujjain. Out of the total Corona infected patients in the state, 61 percent % are in home isolation and 39 percent of the patients are admitted in hospitals.

Vaccination work

Currently, vaccination work has been expedited in the state. On April 1, maximum 3 lakh 79 thousand 320 people were vaccinated. So far, about 4.5 lakh people have been vaccinated. There are about 71 lakh people above 60 in the state, out of which 21 lakh people have got vaccinated.

Presentation of Health Department

Additional Chief Secretary Health Shri Mohammad Suleman said in a presentation given before the ministers that public awareness campaign led by the Chief Minister Shri Chouhan is being conducted to prevent infection. Only take away facility is available from restaurants. Major events and fairs etc. are prohibited. Educational institutions are also prohibited from opening till April 15. There is also a ban on transportation from Maharashtra. 720 fever clinics are functioning in the state. Preparations have also been made to start Kill Corona campaign second phase. Orders have been issued to conduct Corona tests through RT-PCR and R.A.T. at the rate of Rs 700 and Rs 300 respectively. An additional amount of Rs 200 will be charged on taking samples from home. There is a continuous increase in bed capacity in hospitals.

Ministers laud awareness campaign

Ministers present in the virtual Cabinet meeting from various districts appreciated the campaign by Chief Minister Shri Chouhan to make common people aware of Corona infection. Ministers Shri Tulsiram Silavat, Shri Kamal Patel, Shri Pradyumna Singh Tomar, Shri Inder Singh Parmar and Dr. Prabhuram Chaudhary said that the public awareness campaign will help in stopping the pace of Corona infection. Ministers supported the campaign of Chief Minister Shri Chouhan and assured to extend full support. Minister Shri O.P.S. Bhadoria said that very few cases of Corona have come up in Bhind. Currently there are only 21 positive cases. Public awareness is increasing due to constant efforts in this direction. Treatment facilities are available for 120 patients in the district. Common man is wearing masks and following social distancing norms. Minister Shri Rajwardhan Singh Dattigaon said that no person can play with the health of the public, so everyone must wear masks mandatorily. The public awareness campaign being lead by Chief Minister Shri Chouhan is worth appreciation. The infection can be prevented only with the support of the public. Suggestions were also given by the ministers in the meeting.
