Employment will be increased by developing tourism in new areas: CM Shri Chouhan

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Madhya Pradesh is on the path of continuous development in the field of tourism. There will be endless possibilities of tourism development in the state. There are many heritage sites in terms of historical heritage, culture, traditions, forest wealth, everflowing rivers and tourism. An action plan should be chalked out on new possibilities of tourism development which will attract tourists and also increase employment.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing a meeting of the board of directors of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board in Mantralaya today. Tourism Minister Sushri Usha Thakur, Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary Tourism Shri Shiv Shekhar Shukla, Principal Secretary Finance Shri Manoj Govil and members of the Board of Directors attended the meeting.

It was informed in the meeting that new food craft institutes will be established in Dhar, Shahdol and Balaghat of Madhya Pradesh. Presently, Food Craft Institutes have been set up in Khajuraho, Rewa and Jabalpur. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that special attention should be paid to ensure that students passed out with diplomas and degrees get employment. Students of Scheduled Castes and tribes should get special benefit from these institutions.

Research will be conducted to plan the implementation of Historical Landscape Recommendation by UNESCO New Delhi in Orchha and Gwalior of historical importance so that an action plan can be prepared for the development of historical cities without losing cultural heritage and historical values. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed that local institutions, Municipal Corporation, smart city office, district administration should cooperate fully in this work.

Similarly, a nomination dossier will be prepared to include Mandu and Orchha in the UNESCO World Heritage List, and sent to UNESCO through the Department of Archaeological Survey of India Government of India. It may be recalled that Mandu and Orchha have been included in the proposed list of UNESCO World Heritage since many years. Efforts are being made to include it in the permanent list of UNESCO which can increase the arrival of foreign tourists and increase tourism and employment opportunities.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed that a theme-based museum should be established in different cities of Madhya Pradesh. In the first phase, Museum of Music in Gwalior and Diamond Museum or Diamond Tour in Panna or Khajuraho should be established. The museum leads to knowledge. Employment increases. He described Bhopal’s Tribal Museum as unique and said that efforts should be made to ensure that the number of tourists in this museum increases.

It was informed that it has also been planned to conduct specific technology based virtual tours for specific tourist destinations to promote tourism in which the tourist can have 3D experience of any tourist site, monuments and its specialties through volumetric capture technology, object interaction and computer graphic imaging technique.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan apprised himself with the progress in the construction of the grand statue of Adi Shankaracharya and Mahakal campus development schemes. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the film policy of Madhya Pradesh should be widely publicized. Filmmaking activities have increased in Madhya Pradesh. It is a matter of pleasure.

It was informed in the meeting that five camp sites have been developed in Panna, Kanha, Pench and Bandhavgarh in collaboration with private investors in the buffer area of ​​national parks in association with the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board. The work of the necessary testing to develop the airstrip at Pachmarhi up to four thousand feet is in progress. Developing a golf course in Pachmarhi was considered.

Home stay is being constructed by beneficiaries in 10 villages under rural tourism, in which rooms are constructed for tourists to stay in tourist sites.
