Chief Minister Shri Chouhan reviews Corona situation

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the situation of Corona is very much under control, despite this, precautionary measures must not be given up. It is in the interest of all citizens to avoid crowds and use masks as necessary. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the staff of the health department should remain alert. The situation should be monitored while ensuring necessary arrangements in hospitals. While reviewing the situation of Corona in Mantralaya today, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed that necessary precaution should be taken keeping in mind the nearly one thousand cases coming up every day in the state. Economic activities and other functions may be organized, but social distancing must be followed. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also held discussions with the officers in-charge of the districts.

While conducting review in the context of positive cases in Jaora, Sailana, Bajna townships of Ratlam district today, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed that the work of generating public awareness should be continued. People should be alert to protect themselves from Corona. It was informed in the meeting that last week the positivity trend in Ratlam district has risen from 5.8 to 6.6. Though only, isolation beds are 42 percent full and normal oxygen beds are 7 percent full. Out of 693 tests conducted today, 48 cases were found positive, which is 6.9 percent of the total cases.

Corona coming to a halt in the state

It was informed in the meeting that the number of recovered patients in Madhya Pradesh is two lakh 19 thousand 893. Today 1319 patients have recovered. The country has a cumulative positivity rate of 6.5. In Madhya Pradesh it is 5.4 below the national average. The state’s recovery rate is 92.5 percent. As many as 47 thousand 479 tests are being done per 10 lakh in the state. As much as 63 percent of the patients in the state are receiving health benefits in home isolation. Isolation beds in the state are required to use Only 14 percent isolation beds, 15 percent of oxygen beds and 9 percent HDU / ICU beds are being required in the state.

Health Minister Dr. Prabhuram Chaudhary, Medical Education Minister Shri Vishwas Sarang, Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Health Shri Mohammad Suleman and other officials were present in the meeting.
