CM Shri Chouhan will review status of public welfare schemes

Will visit various places in the state to inspect construction works

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will visit various cities and villages of the state and will review the status of implementation of public welfare schemes. Beginning by his visit to various areas of Bhopal today, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan reviewed the construction works and the facilities being provided to the people. After reviewing these works, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed the officials concerned to ensure the completion of these works within the stipulated time. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that punitive action will be taken against those who deprive the general public of the facilities available to them. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan inspected the works of Lok Seva Kendra at Collectorate Bhopal, new sewage treatment plants at Bhopal and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Kokta region.

Inspection of Lok Seva Kendra

During the inspection of Bhopal city, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan first reached Lok Seva Kendra at the Collectorate and met people. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also held talks with applicants, who informed him that their work is being done in a day, but they also have to pay a fee of Rs five per document for a copy of the document. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that a new policy will be formulated to reduce this fee in the Kendras. The Lok Seva Kendras aim at solving the problems of the common man besides freeing them from the economic burden of the fee on these works. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed Collector Bhopal Shri Avinash Lavania to change the system of charging fee in the Kendra and provide relief to the public. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan asked applicants Shri Gulab Singh, Smt. Parvati Sahu and others about the solution to their problems. The Chief Minister also spoke to Shri Shivam, assistant sitting at Counter Number-1 and Sushri Madhuri posted at Counter Number-2 and sought information about the facilities being provided to the general public. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan lauded the employees sitting at each counter for wearing masks.

Sewage Treatment Plant at Koh-e-Fiza inspected

 Chief Minister Shri Chouhan inspected the newly constructed sewage treatment plant at Koh-e-Fija, Ahmedabad area near Bhojtal. When he enquired about the delay in the construction period of the plant, it came to light that its construction was to be completed in the year 2019. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed to complete the procedures related to the starting of the plant and fix a date for its dedication. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that such plants should work to their full potential for the purification of water bodies and the officers must ensure that the citizens avail its benefits. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan issued instructions to complete the incomplete works of sewage treatment plants being constructed at other places soon. He directed to ensure dedication of three other under-construction plants of Bhopal city by completing them on priority.

Houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana should be handed over to eligible beneficiaries

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also inspected the    houses being constructed by Bhopal Municipal Corporation in Kokta located on Raisen Road under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that slum dwellers also have the right to smile and reside in clean houses. Housing is the need of every man. The goal to provide houses to the poor in the state has to be fulfilled. There has been delay in the construction of houses at many places as the earlier government did not take a serious stand towards the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. This shortfall should be removed by speeding up completion of the houses under construction. The houses at Kokta are being constructed in three categories. A total of 2880 houses are being constructed which include 432 houses each of LIG and MIG category in addition to the 2016 EWS quarters. There is a provision of Rs one and a half lakh by the Central government and Rrs 1.50 lakh by the State government for their construction. Beneficiaries will get this accommodation for Rs 2 lakhs. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that housing facility to lower middle class families will also be considered.

CM Shri Chauhan distributes masks in Abbas Nagar

  Chief Minister Shri Chouhan distributed masks to children and elders in Abbas Nagar locality of Bhopal to make people aware against Corona. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also counseled them use face masks as a precautionary measure. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan distributed masks to Shri Abdul Jamil, Shanu, Nafisa, Ilma, Shan and Muskan urging them to use it. Many residents of Abbas Nagar were excited and welcomed Chief Minister Shri Chouhan with surprise saying - Mamu has come, Mamu has come.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was accompanied by Collector Shri Avinash Lavania, Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri M. Selvendran, Director Public Relations Shri Ashutosh Pratap Singh and concerned officials during the inspection.
