Incidents of Nagaud of Satna and Berkheri in Bhopal unfortunate: CM Shri Chouhan

Instructions issued for all possible help to victims and proper arrangements for treatment of injured

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan termed the road accident in Nagaud of Satna district which caused untimely death of several precious lives as extremely painful. He said that the news of death of four children due to soil sinking in village Berkheri in Bhopal is also very sad and distressing. He said that my condolences are with the families of the victims. In both the above incidents, necessary instructions have been given to the district administration to extend all possible help to the affected families and for proper treatment of the injured. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has prayed to the Almighty to grant peace to the departed souls and strength to their families to bear this jolt and wished speedy recovery to the injured.

Financial assistance of Rs. four lakh each to families of the deceased

Expressing deep sorrow and condolences on the death of four children after they got buried under a clay mine in village Berkhedi Abdullah of Sukhi Sewania police station area, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan announced assistance of Rs. four lakh each to the families of the deceased children.

On Monday morning at about 9 am, six children from Berkhedi Abdullah village of Huzur tehsil, which falls under Sukhi Sewania police station, had gone to the drain near the village to pick soil for their house. While digging the soil, four children who had gone too deep into the mine died when mud caved in on them. Two children who were injured in the incident have been admitted to Hamidia Hospital. Financial assistance of Rs. four lakh each has been sanctioned to the families of the deceased children under Section 6-4 of RBC. The names of the deceased are Manoj, 12, son of Shri Bane Singh, Kavita, 9, daughter of Shyamlal, Asha, 7, daughter of Shri Kailash and Bally Bhai, 12, son of Shri Prabhu Lal.

Injured victims Vikram Banjara, 7, son of Shri Vinay Singh, and Rohit, 7, son of Shri Kailash, are undergoing treatment at Hamidia Hospital. Doctors have reported the condition of both of them to be out of danger. On receiving the information about the incident, Collector Shri Avinash Lavania started relief and rescue work and after reaching Hamidia Hospital, he gave instructions for free treatment of the injured children.
