Sambal Yojana supports the needy by distributing resources equally

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Madhya Pradesh government considers welfare of the poor as paramount. A practical scheme like Sambal which supports the needy and poor through equitable distribution of resources, was discontinued by the former government. The implementation of the Sambal Yojana, which provides financial assistance from the period before birth to conditions of to untimely death, will now continue. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan transferred ex-gratia amount of Rs 80 crores to the account of 3700 beneficiaries of Sambal Yojana in a programme organized at Minto Hall Bhopal today.

Permanent house for all in three years

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Sambal is a scheme of equitable distribution of resources. This scheme has become a great support for the poor. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the former government had also snatched the morsel from the mouth. Pregnant women were denied laddoos which were to provide them nutrition. The plan was discontinued at the behest of the former government. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that everyone will get a concrete house in the coming three years. The Chief Minister told the beneficiaries about the benefits of Sambal Yojana and assured them that people should not worry. This scheme will continue and you all will continue to reap benefits from it.

Migrant labourers who returned to the state will be linked with Sambal

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that those who have been deprived of the benefits of the scheme at present will also be benefited. The migrant labourers who returned to the state during Covid-19 will also be linked with Sambal. These labourers will also be benefited by connecting them with the Bhavan Sannirman Karmakar Mandal. Free education will be arranged for the children of these labourers. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that it is true that whenever a sad incident occurs in a family, people extend sympathies for some time. But the real pain is experienced only by the one who is suffering. Such people should get financial assistance from the government. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that lack of funds will not be allowed to come in the way of implementation of the scheme of the poor. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the beneficiaries who have got the benefit of the scheme today will be able to become self-reliant.

Programme organized at 308 places in 22 districts

On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan transferred an amount of Rs 80 crore online to the accounts of beneficiaries of 22 districts under Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan Sambal Yojana. The programme was organized at 308 locations in 22 districts in the first phase along with the state level programme. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan interacted with the beneficiaries after transferring the amount of Sambal Yojana to their accounts. In the first phase of the Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan Sambal Yojana, the programme was organized in each Janpad Panchayat, Nagar Palika Nigam, Nagar Palika Parishad, Nagar Panchayat and headquarters in Sagar, Chhatarpur, Panna, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Ashoknagar, Guna, Datia, Bhind, Morena, Indore, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Dhar, Raisen, Rajgarh Vidisha, Anuppur, Agar, Mandsaur, Dewas and Bhopal. Guidelines related to Covid-19 were followed at the programme venue. LED screens were arranged for the broadcast of Chief Minister Shri Chouhan in these programme sites. A net link was provided by NIC for broadcasting the programme. The programme was conducted by Principal Secretary Shri Umakant Umrao. Minister of Mineral Resources, Labour Minister Shri Brijendra Pratap Singh and Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare, Denotifed Nomadic and Semi Nomadic Tribal Welfare and Panchayat and Rural Development Minister (Independent Charge) Minister Shri Ram Khelawan Patel were also present in the programme. Besides, other ministers and MLAs also joined the programme from various districts. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also interacted with the beneficiaries of Mandsaur, Guna, Sagar, Raisen and Bhind through video conferencing in the benefit distribution programme under Sambal Yojana.

Sambal Yojana should be continued under all circumstances

Smt. Leela Bai Bagri of Nataram village in Mandsaur told Chief Minister Shri Chouhan to continue Sambal Yojana under all circumstances. Her husband worked as a labourer . He passed away due to illness. Smt. Leela Bai received assistance of Rs. 2 lakh under the Sambal Yojana. Smt. Leela Bai told the Chief Minister that she is planning to maintain her barren field besides starting goat farming with the money. She said that with the assistance given in times of trouble, she need not worry about the education of her sons.

People who die cannot be replaced, but Sambal has become a support

Smt. Shyamu Bai Sen of Govardhanpura gram panchayat of Mandsaur told Chief Minister Shri Chouhan that people who die cannot be replaced but Sambal has extended support. Smt. Shyamu Bai’s husband died in an accident in Surat. She received an assistance of Rs four lakh. She said she has plans to start a grocery store. While encouraging Smt. Shyamu Bai, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the government will pay the fees for the education of her children. You must definitely educate your children.

Do not worry, your brother is with you

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan told Smt. Sumela Bai Bhil of Guna not to worry. Brother is with you. Together we will overcome the situation. Sumela’s husband died due to illness. She was provided with assistance of Rs two lakhs with which she is launching a readymade garments shop. The Chief Minister encouraged Sumela and said that there is great demand for readymade garments in rural areas.

Do not lose courage Seema

Smt. Seema Ahirwar resides in Sagar, whose husband, an agricultural labourer died due to typhoid. Seema has received an assistance of Rs two lakhs. With this, they are planning to start tailoring by purchasing sewing machine. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan sought information about Seema’s house and told her not to lose courage, the government stands with you at every step.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also spoke to Smt. Sadhana Bai of Raisen. He also distributed benefit distribution certificates to Smt. Zayda Bi, Smt. Sita Nagar, Smt. Rekha Bai, Shri Suhagamal, Shri Somu Gurjar and Shri Pyare Singh during the programme.
