Implementation of revised guidelines must for Corona prevention and resuming normal life – CM Shri Chouhan

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that it is necessary to follow and propagate appropriate behaviour required for protection from Covid and to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in urban areas. For this community participation and accountability will have to be ensured. Covid is likely to spread further after lockdown is opened and life gets back to normal. To check this, it is necessary to work on a positive and potential patient-centered strategy. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing a video conference organized at Mantralaya to discuss the revised strategy on Corona. Shri Chouhan said that implementation of the revised guide lines is must to avoid Corona and return to normalcy. For this, each individual must essentially follow the Corona Protocol for his / her own safety.

Command and control centres will be established in every district

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that now the positive patient will ensure cooperation in his treatment and active participation of the patient and his family in contact tracing. A browser will be provided to provide complete information in writing to the positive patient. Home isolation will be encouraged for positive or asymptomatic positive patients. A command and control centre will be set up at the district level for proper monitoring of these patients. Use of pulse oximeters, thermometers and downloading of Sarthak light app will be encouraged for being vigilant against Corona.

Monitoring through video call

Doctors posted in the centres will seek information from the patients under home quarantine through video calls twice a day. Ambulance will be available compulsorily in these centres. Patients whose condition deteriorates at any stage will be hospitalized immediately.

Samples will be taken at fever clinic

Fever clinics will be developed in the form of primary source for collecting samples of potential cases. The process of door-to-door collection of samples will be discontinued. All arrangements for examination and consultation will be made available at the Fever Clinic.

Durga Utsav to be celebrated with Corona Protocol

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that presence of maximum 100 people will be allowed in Durga Utsav as per Lockdown-4 provisions, but all precautions to be taken against Corona including social distancing, use of mask and sanitizer will have to be ensured. Guidelines regarding Durga immersion will be issued on time.

Private hospitals to give tretament on fixed rates

Private medical institutions will be encouraged to treat Covid-19. Treatment given to Covid-19 patients by private hospitals on or before 29 February 2020, will be as per the notified rate list. Under any circumstances, hospitals will not be able to increase this rate by more than 40 percent.

Capacity building in government health institutions

Considering the possible situation of Covid-19 in the coming months, arrangement of sufficient beds, oxygen supply, equipment and management besides work for constant capapcity building will be carried out in government health institutions. For this, a capacity addition plan has been made available to the collectors of each district. Health institutions will mutually share their experience and training related to medical management of Covid patients. Help desks will be set up for the convenience of patients.

Special attention to Comorbidity patients and patients of more than 70 years of age

Potential or positive patients of Covid-19, who are suffering from other serious diseases or who are more than 60 years of age will be placed under special medical supervision.

Emphasis to be laid on institutional quarantine in rural areas

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the process of institutional quarantine and intensive contact tracing will continue to prevent the spread of corona in rural areas.

In the video conference, Additional Chief Secretary Health Shri Mohammad Suleman informed that the Home Isolation Protocol has been issued. It will be the responsibility of all collectors to ensure its compliance. Shri Suleman also gave instructions to encourage rapid antigen testing.

Minister for Medical Education Shri Vishwas Sarang and Minister for Public Health and Family Welfare Dr. Prabhuram Chaudhary participated at the video conferencing. Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary Medical Education Shri Sanjay Shukla, Director General of Police Shri Vivek Johri and other officials were present.
