Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that government is wholly with the flood affected people in this hour of flood disaster. Full compensation against loss to crops, houses and goods will be given to every flood affected person. Owing to the corona crisis, the economic condition of the state is in dire state but will not let any paucity come in funds in flood relief works and helping people. Be patient, do not worry at all, your ‘Mama’ is with you all time. The administration will not leave any stone unturned in providing every possible help to you, he added.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan reached Nemawar of Dewas district today to take stock of the flood relief works. He took stock of the damage while visiting flood affected areas and wards and talked to the affected people assuring all possible help. He instructed the officers that there should be no shortage in supply of food, clean water, medicines etc. Along with this, works should also be conducted as regard to constant cleaning, power supply, clearing mud from nullahs and roads besides removal of carcasses. Special attention should be paid to purification of water sources as well as treatment and prevention of seasonal diseases. In view of corona, compliance of social distancing, wearing of masks etc. should also be ensured in relief camps.

Second tour of Khategoan in 5 days

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has said that I am constantly worried about you people. There is always a fear of flood as the place is situated on the bank of Narmada river. In the last 5 days, this is my second tour of Khategoan-Nemawar area. First I had come to take stock of damage to crops, now to provide assisatnce to you. Be relaxed, government will provide all possible help to you in this hour of crisis.

ill speak to Union Minister for Flyover

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has said that he will speak to the Union Minister for Surface Transport Shri Nitin Gadkari for one more flyover in Nemawar area. Along with this, he will also urge the central government to extend the last date of crop insurance by further 4-5 days. The last date of crop insurance was August 31. Many farmers could not get their crops insured till this date.

Fair Price Ration to be provided from September 03

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has said that the state government is going to provide 5 k.g. wheat, rice and salt per person per family @ Re. One per k.g. to all left out 36 lakh poor of the state and 5 k.g. free ration, total 10 k.g. ration per person from September 03. Our resolution is ‘Gharib ki Thali, Kabhi Na Rahe Khali’.

Distributes sanction letters of relief amount

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan distributed sanction letters of financial assistance to disaster affected people. For damage to house and food grain, sanction letters each of Rs. 95 thousand were given to Nemawar resident Suraj Bai w/o Jagdish, Siraliyarewatir resident Ramesh s/o Shyamlal, Bhanwar Singh s/o Jassu, Mohanlal s/o Chunnilal and Mirzapur resident Rasat Khan s/o Kalu. For damage to goods of shops, sanction letters each of Rs. 12 thosuand were given to Nemawar resident Krishnakant s/o Narmada Prasad Sharma, Rakesh Vyas s/o Kamal Kishore, Basant Rathore s/o Sunderlala, Upkar s/o Banshidhar and Sharad s/o Jugal Kishore. .

Minister for Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Shri Kamal Patel, MLA Shri Ashish Sharma, Divisional Commissioner of Ujjain Shri Anand Kumar Sharma, Inspector General of Police Shri Rakesh Gupta and other were present on the occasion.
