Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has told the farmers of the state that the last date for crop insurance has been extended to August 31. Whether you are in debt or not, if you have not yet got your crop insured, you must get it done immediately. The administration will fully support you. Instructions for survey have been issued. Damage will be assessed and full assistance and support will be extended to the farmers. I am with you, the government is with you.

On loss of soybean crop, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said to the farmers that soyabean has been adversely affected in some districts firstly due to lack of rain and later due to excess rain. Soybean has dried up in many places due to stem borers. When the farmer is in trouble, I cannot be at ease. Yesterday I visited the fields of farmers in Dewas and Indore district and apprised myself with the condition of the crops. I will tour the affected areas soon. Our Agriculture Minister, other ministers, MPs, MLAs and officials are touring villages constantly to take stock of crop loss.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has said that there is crisis, but there is no need to panic. Corona crisis has broken the back of our economy, there is lack of money, but in this hour of crisis we will make all necessary arrangements. All arrangements will be made so that compensation, relief and crop insurance scheme benefits reach the farmers.
