Ban on immersion of idols at public places

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that it is essential to prevent spread of corona infection that ensuing Ganesh Utsav and other festivals should be celebrated at home itself. He appealed people that all corona related precautions should be followed necessarily like wearing masks, maintaining social distancing etc. He further mentioned that installation of idols at public places, taziya procession etc. are totally prohibited. For protection from corona infection, immersion of idols installed at homes, at public places will also be prohibited. ‘Collection Points’ in each ward/area will be made, where Ganesh idols will be collected with due respect and piousness. Later, the local bodies will carry the idols to immerse them at the places of immersion. In this context, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed the Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains for issuing detailed guidelines to districts.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was reviewing the situation of corona in the state and arrangements at Mantralaya through video conferencing. Minister for Medical Education Shri Vishwas Sarang participated in the meeting through video conferencing. Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, DGP Shri Vivek Johri, Additional Chief Secretary Health Shri Mohammad Suleman and other officers were present at the meeting.

State’s recovery rate reaches 76.1 percent

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has said that the recovery rate of the state has touched 76.1 percent. The number of active patients in the state is 10 thousand 928 and comparatively state is at 16th place in the country. The positivity rate of the state is 4.47 percent and the tests are 13 thousand 788 per 10 lakh population.

Highest 227 new cases in Indore

It was found during the district wise review that highest new 227 cases have surfaced in Indore followed by 140 in Bhopal, 121 in Gwalior, 117 in Jabalpur, 32 in Betul, 29 in Rajgarh, 27 in Ratlam, 25 in Rewa and 24 each in Chhatarpur and Vidisha. The positivity rate of Shahdol is 6.02 percent and positivity rate of Anuppur is 7.30 percent in the last 7 days. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed to pay special attention to these districts. He also instructed to dispatch a team of doctors to Shahdol Medical College. Moreover, directives were given to pay special attention to Damoh district. Sehore district was instructed for increase in sampling.

Trend of Home Isolation is increasing

Home isolation is increasing in the asymptomatic corona positive cases in the state. At present, 1617 people (15 percent) is under home isolation in the state, including 692 in Indore, 297 in Jabalpur, 141 in Bhopal, 124 in Gwalior, 96 in Shivpuri, 74 in Ujjain, 44 in Khargone, 24 in Satna and remaining in other districts.

Private hospitals should not charge exorbitant amount

It was informed during the review of Indore district that many people are visiting private hospitals for corona treatment. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed to ensure that no exorbitant amount should be charged by the private hospitals. All districts are required to pay attention in this matter.

Good arrangements should be made in quarantine centres

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed that good arrangements should be made in quarantine centres. Along with this, good monitoring and caring arrangement should be made for people in home quarantine and home isolation.

Remarkable decline in fatality rate

Additional Chief Secretary Health Shri Suleman has informed that constant decline is being recorded in corona fatality rate in the state. The fatality rate between August 18 and 21 was 0.6 percent. The average fatality rate of the state is 2.34 percent. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed to minimize the fatality rate further.

Make Fever Clinics effective

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed that fever clinics should be made more effective in all districts to enable patients to get their health checkup, corona test etc. done easily.
