The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that our dream and resolution is to make Madhya Pradesh, a self-reliant state and this dream cannot be realized without setting up new industries, as the industry sector leads in providing employment. Shri Chouhan was holding deliberations with the office bearers of various industrial organizations at Abhay Prashal of Indore today. He also observed a presentation concerning establishment of various industries in Indore region from 2015 to 2018 under the Industrial Development Corporation. He also dedicated 3 industrial units of Pithampur on this occasion.

In the programme, Shri Chouhan informed that the state has suffered a loss of Rs. 26 thousand crore in taxes in the last few months during the corona crisis. Planned efforts will be made to compensate this loss. Industrial investment will be encouraged in order to enhance the employment opportunities. The pharmaceutical industry of Pithampur has enhanced the dignity of the country by supplying medicines to countries like America during corona crisis. Apart from this, the industries of Pithampur have become leader in manufacturing PPE Kits and sanitizer.

Moreover, Shri Chouhan mentioned that when it was enlightened through the presentation that the industrial units have started functioning, I felt that dreams which have been cherished by me are coming true now. He further stated that some of my friends used to say what do you get by holding investment conventions. This presentation is an answer to tell them that efforts yield results. We are witnessing industrial units are flourishing continuously in Indore including I.T. We will make efforts to become vocal for local. I have decided to give one hour to industry on every Monday. Will receive suggestions and deliberate with industries. In addition to this, I will also hold deliberations with the industrialists of every sector. This discussion either will be held through meeting or video conferencing. Labour laws have been amended. The functioning of single window system will be simplified further. Earlier, industrialists had to maintain 61 registers, we have reduced it to 14 and now they maintain just one register.

The Minister for Water Resources Shri Tulsiram Silawat, MP Shri Shankar Lalwani, Former Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, MLAs Shri Ramesh Mendola, Smt. Malini Guar, Shri Akash Vijayvargiya and Sushri Usha Thakur were present at the programme.
