Labourers Coming From Other States Into Madhya Pradesh To Get All Facilities

To Be Sent Further By Buses With Food, Drinking Water, Medical Assistance

Madhya Pradesh government has made the arrangements of transit points, food, drinking water, first aid and medicines for the workers coming on foot from other states into the bordering areas of the state. They will be sent by buses to their respective districts. Besides, 375 extra buses have been arranged to transport the workers of other states to the border of the state. Transit points have been made in the bordering districts for efficient execution of the action plan for this. From there they will be sent to their home towns/villages with all safety with the cooperation of local administration. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed to ensure all necessary facilities to the workers coming from other states on foot.

In view of the large number of labourers coming in the bordering areas of Madhya Pradesh, the state government has drawn up an effective action plan and the district collectors have been directed to make all necessary arrangements accordingly. In addition to the arrangements made in districts so far, fresh arrangements are also being ensured. Execution of the action plan has already been started in concerning districts from today, May 12. Arrangement has been made for 70 percent advance payment for buses to be requisitioned under the action plan, to avoid any inconvenience to the labourers.

The district collectors have been advised that transit point may be set up in Sendhwa (Bijasan)Dewas, Dewas-Guna, Guna-Shivpuri via Jhansi to send the labourers to Maharashtra border and Guna-Shivpuri-Gwalior-Bhind to send to Uttar Pradesh border. Moreover, Daulatpur(Sehore) on Dewas-Chhatarpur road may also be set up. Workers may be transported from Daulatpur (Sehore) to Mahoba on Uttar Pradesh border via Malthaun and Daulatpur-Sagar-Chhatarpur. They have been directed to arrange for sheds, food, tea-refreshment and first aid and medicines at these transit points. Some vehicles should also be arranged there to facilitate exchange of labourers.

Arrangements of buses have been made in bordering districts, where large number of labourers are coming. As many as 100 buses have been arranged for Sendhwa-Dewas road,50 for Dewas-Guna road, 40 for Dewas-Sagar road, 20 for Guna-Bhind(Uttar Pradesh border) 80 for Guna-Deenara (Jhansi-Uttar Pradesh border), 25 for Morena-Gwalior-Datia-Jhansi, 10 for Dewas-Daulatpur (Sehore), 25 for Daulatpur (Sehore)-Sagar-Malthaun and 25 buses have been arranged for Dalatpur(Sehore)-Sagar-Chhatarpur (Mahoba Uttar Pradesh border).
