Return of workers from other states continues
Two lakh 15 thousand labourers return so far

As per Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s directions, the process of return of the labourers trapped in other states continues. So far, about 2 lakh 15 thousand labourers have returned to the state. Till date, one lakh 5 thousand labourers have been brought back from Gujarat, 45 thousand from Rajasthan and 40 thousand from Maharashtra. Along with this, labourers have also been brought back from Goa, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Additional Chief Secretary and State Control Room Incharge Shri I.C.P. Keshari has informed that about 60 thousand labourers of Madhya Pradesh trapped in different districts of the state have been shifted to their home towns.
15 more trains demanded
Shri Keshari informed that a requisition of 56 trains was sent earlier to bring the labourers back, now 15 more trains are being sent. Thus a total of 71 trains have been demanded. On May 10, 6 trains carrying labourers had come from different places. Today on May 11, 10 trains are coming to Madhya Pradesh. Thus, till date 40 trains will have come to Madhya Pradesh with labourers. On May 12, 8 to 10 trains will come with labourers.
