Will achieve procurement target soon

One lakh 5 thousand labourers from other states reached Madhya Pradesh
CM Shri Chouhan reviews procurement work, laboueres related arrangements and E-pass work

The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that a target of 100 lakh MT has been set under the wheat procurement this year. Despite the lockdown, the procurement work is being done speedily in the state and we will achieve our target soon. We will fulfill our promise to procure every grain of farmers’ crop. Similarly, the work to repatriate labourers stranded in other states is also going on at a fast pace. We will repatriate all the labourers soon, he added.

Shri Chouhan was reviewing the wheat procurement work and arrangements related to the labourers through video conferencing at Mantralaya today.

53 lakh 60 thousand MT wheat procured

The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has informed that till date 53 lakh 60 thousand MT wheat at support price has already been procured from 9 lakh 10 thousand farmers under the procurement work in the state. Out of this, transportation of 43 lakh 65 thousand MT wheat has already been completed. Payment is also being made to the farmers speedily. Tilldate, an amount of Rs. 5085 crore has been paid to the farmers.

Procurement work of Chana, Masoor and Sarson is underway

The Principal Secretary Agriculture Shri Ajeet Keshri has informed that procurement work of Chana, Masoor and Sarson is going on in the state but the work is going on slowly at present. Although, SMS in adequate numbers have been sent to the farmers but the farmers in less numbers are coming to sell the crop.

50 trains will bring labourers by next week

In context to the arrangements for the labourers, Additionel.Chief Secretary water resource Shri I.C.P Keshri has informed that till date one lakh 5 thousand labourers have already been repatriated to the state from various other states. The work to repatriate labourers by rail route is going on. As many as 50 trains carrying labourers of Madhya Pradesh will reach the state by next week. Seven trains will come from Morvi and the first train will proceed on May 9.

19000 E-pass issued

The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has informed that as per the decision of the government, permission is being given to the people stranded at various places for movement from one state to another and from one city/village to another place. E –passes are being issued in this regard. The Principal Secretary Shri Sanjay Dubey has informed that 19000 E-Passes have been issued today. He further said that 42 thousand applications for E-passes for moving out of the state and 50 thousand applications for returning to the state have been received today.
