Journalists are acting as bridge between people and government in Corona crisis

Journalists should keep on boosting morale of people by positive reporting

The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the journalists of the state are acting as a bridge between the people and government by disseminating information and news by taking risk of their lives during the Corona crisis. They are boosting morale of the people by their positive news. They are serving the public by following the high standards of journalism. Shri Chouhan has said that he express his gratitude to all and hope that the journalists will continue to encourage the people in the same way. Shri Chouhan was interacting with the journalists of all the divisional headquarters of the state through video conferencing at Mantralaya today. The Secretary Public Relations Shri P. Narhari and Director Public Relations Shri O.P. Shrivastava were present in the V.C..

Not yet won but controlled Corona virus

The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, we are fighting against Corona virus with the cooperation of all. He said that we have not won this battle yet, but we have surely controlled the virus. Shri Chouhan said that journalists, health workers, police, administration, sanitation workers, social organizations etc. all are fighting this battle with full might together by risking their lives. The Chief Minister assured that we will win soon.

Three-tier strategy in state

Shri Chouhan said that a three-tier strategy is being adopted in the state to fight Coronavirus. At the first level, arrangements are being made in big cities like Indore and Bhopal, which have about 80% corona infection of the state. At the second level, work is being done in 20 districts of the state, where corona patients have been found. All infected areas have been completely sealed, so that the infection does not spread to other places. At the third level, there are 30 districts of the state without any infection yet. Full efforts are being made to ensure that Corona infection does not spread in these districts.

Testing facility in private medical colleges

The Chief Minister said that when he took over as Chief Minister, there was only one lab for testing in the state and the testing was done in very small number. He said that there are currently seven labs working in the state, where the testing capacity of 1000 per day has been achieved. Along with all the government medical colleges in the state, the government has also directed the private medical colleges to start the testing facilities. Testing capacity is being increased. Today itself, 1700 samples from the state have been sent by plane to Delhi Lab for testing. We are making 5000 PPE kits daily for Health workers and other teams. We will increase the number to 10000 per day. Also, masks etc are available in sufficient quantity. Hospitals have been identified as COVID-19 hospitals, which have sufficient number of beds and other facilities. Hydroxy chloroquine tablets are being produced in the state. At the same time, we are distributing Ayurvedic, Homeopathic and Unani medicines in the villages to increase people’s immunity. So far, medicines have been distributed to more than 700,000 people.

Regular review of arrangements

The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that a core team has been constituted under his Chairmanship at Bhopal level for regular review of the arrangements and daily meetings are conducted. Along with this, Crisis Management Groups have been formed at the district level, which includes social organizations, religious leaders, social service organizations, etc. along with the authorities, who are regularly reviewing the district wise situation.

3 months free fair price ration to people

Shri Chouhan informed that the availability of food items and free food is being ensured to the poor and needy people of the state in every district during the Corona crisis. So far 5 crore 40 lakh fair price ration consumers have been provided 3 months free ration. In addition, one month’s free fair price ration has also been given 32 lakh other persons.

Salute to Corona Warriors

The Chief Minister said that he salute all the staff of the health department including journalists, police, administration, social organizations, religious leaders, etc., who are working as Corona warriors to help the people during this crisis.

Corona is not an illness that cannot be cured

The Chief Minister said that Corona is not an illness that cannot be cured. This disease can be cured on noticing the symptoms immediately. Delay in treatment makes the situation worsens. Therefore, do not hide the symptoms but get the test done immediately.

Will ensure production and supply of medicines

The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan informed that there will be no shortage of medicines in the state. Along with this, it is also being arranged that the production of medicine continues.

Supply of essential commodities will not get interrupted

The Chief Minister said that during the lock down, people will not face shortage of the essential commodities. The supply of medicines, milk, vegetables, fruits, groceries and other essentials is being ensured through the administration. Apart from this, arrangements are also being made to buy fruits and vegetables of farmers through decentralized mandis outside the cities.

Regular Yoga-Pranayam-Balance Diet

The journalists praised Chief Minister Shri Chouhan for working continuously as a warrior in the Corona crisis and asked about his routine. The Chief Minister said that he wakes up at 5:30 in the morning and perform Yoga-Pranayam regularly. He takes balanced diet. During the rest of his daily routine, he is constantly involved in corona work from morning till night.

Lockdown will have different pattern after April 14

The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that lock down will continue in the state even after April 14, but after April 14, the nature of lock down will be different. During this time procurement, MGNREGA work, small economic activities etc. will be done in areas where there is no infection.

Will improve economic condition after lockdown

The Chief Minister said that the economy of the state was badly affected during the Corona crisis. The government is worried in this regard. He said that a high level committee has been constituted for this, which is constantly studying how to improve the economic condition of the state after the end of the Corona crisis.
