Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has instructed that as more cases of Corona have been detected in Bhopal and Indore city, their boundaries should be tightly sealed alongwith complete ban on traffic. Survey work and Corona testing should be done intensively to prevent infection. He said that the infection of Corona in Madhya Pradesh has to be completely restrained and Corona patients have to be cured. He asked to obtained information about Bhilwara and Karnataka models and wherever good work has been done and implement them in the state. Officers should utilize their entire talent in this work. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was reviewing the situation and arrangements of Corona in the state today.

The Chief Minister said that a Corona protocol and guideline has been prepared by the Government of India. These should be fully adhered to and their information should be passed up to the field staff. Shri Chouhan asked to use face recognition technique and other information technology techniques to trace people who are in home quarantine.

Do not hide information, rather inform

The Chief Minister urged the public not to hide any information regarding Corona instead reveal it to prevent Corona infection in the state. Corona infected persons should reveal whom they met in the recent past. If someone from your home, family and nearby has come from abroad, give information about it. Also inform whether any person has come from Indore or Bhopal.

Get symptoms examined

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that if symptoms of cold, cough, fever etc. are seen, then go to the local hospital and get examined. For this, call center 104 can also be called.

Adequate arrangements for testing and medical treatment

Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains informed that there is adequate arrangement of Corona testing and treatment in the state. Currently we have 29 thousand testing kits available and our testing capacity has grown to 580 per day. As many as 500 samples were taken yesterday. As many as 5000 PPE kits are coming every day. order for 50 thousand PPE kits has been given. We have 2 lakh hydroxychloroquine tablets in stock. The number of N-95 masks is 77 thousand and the three-layer mask is 6 lakhs.

Present accurate statistics daily

The Chief Minister instructed the officers that accurate data should be presented to them daily regarding Corona. Also, in view of the increasing number of Corona patients, a projection report of arrangements to be made till April 30 should also be submitted to him. He directed that the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police to regularly discuss with the Collector and Superintendents of Police every day to ensure all arrangements related to Corona.

All Corona patients should recover

The Chief Minister instructed that good arrangements should be made for the treatment of Corona patients so that all of them are cured. Special attention should be paid to the newly infected areas of Hoshangabad, Itarsi etc. Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains informed that at present our Corona death rate is 8 percent. Telemedicine is also being arranged in the state for the treatment of common diseases, to which 4 thousand doctors from all over the country are connected.

Withdrawal of funds from banks should be easy

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed that the beneficiaries should not have any problem in withdrawing the amount of various schemes put in their accounts and ensure that there is no crowd in banks. An amount of about Rs 2000 crore has been deposited by the Central government under various schemes and about Rs 1000 crore has been deposited by the State government in the accounts of the beneficiaries.

Free food / food grains distributed to 36 lakh 50 thousand people

Principal Secretary Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Shri Shiv Shekhar Shukla informed that free food and food stuff have been distributed to 36 lakh 50 thousand persons in the state. Recently, food and food stuff were distributed to 7 lakh 50 thousand persons. About 400 social service organizations engaged in this work have distributed 6 lakh 18 thousand packets so far.Three months advance ration has been given to fair price consumers and one month ration has also been given to those without ration cards. The Chief Minister directed that distribution of ration should be cross checked.

Ration provided to consumers purchased at a lower price, Instructions to file F.I.R. and send to jail

Taking seriously a case of providing fair price ration to consumers and purchasing it at a lower price and storing it elsewhere, the Chief Minister asked to file F.I.R. against the concerned and send him to jail. The Chief Minister said that black marketing of foodgrains etc. will not be tolerated at any cost. A complaint was received about Lekhraj Sahu, seller at a fair price shop in Junapani village of Mohkhed development block of Chhindwara district who after selling fair price goods to consumers sold it at a lower price and stocked it in another location. Punitive action is being taken by suspending the shop.

Industrialists urged to provide funds to help fight against Corona

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan urged the industrialists of the state to donate funds generously to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to help the people in this crisis.
