In view of the serious condition of Corona infection, the state government has asked all the chief medical and health officials to provide additional one month advance medicines to the TB patients during lockdown. Mission Director N. H. M. has issued instructions that newly discovered T.B. patients must be treated at P.H.I. level and availability of medicines to all TB patients must be ensured.
Instructions have been given to all the Chief Medical and Health Officers of the state to conduct investigation of all patients smoothly. Medicines must be distributed mandatorily during lockdown. If any problem arises, the District Tuberculosis Officer should try to resolve it at the local level with the help of the district administration. If the need for state-level cooperation is felt, inform the state TB office.
One month additional advance medicines should be made available to TB patients (public and private) up to P.H.I. level. Update drug stock daily in the drug delivery software. The districts have been asked to ensure that the TB programme is not affected during the lockdown.
