Face Corona crisis with all diligence and dedication

CM Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan issues instructions through video-conference

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan today instructed all divisional commissioners, collectors, health officials etc. of the state through video conference to face the Corona virus with full diligence and dedication. The problem is big but we have to defeat it by battling it. The medicine is bitter but essential for health. Lockdown has to be followed completely and public has to be taken care of. There should be no shortage in health facilities.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan reviewed district-wise arrangements in the video conference. He first reviewed Indore district. He also sought information about the status of Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior, Chambal, Jabalpur, Sagar, Rewa, Shahdol, Narmadapuram divisions while communicating with the commissioners. Besides he held a district-wise discussion with them. He especially sought information about the status of the border districts besides the arrangement of their lodging and food in the event of workers coming from other states. Shri Chouhan said that the concerned district administration should also provide necessary transport arrangements, food and lodging to the pedestrians going through different districts to their homes.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that all officers should be fully serious about the implementation of lockdown in view of Corona infection. Along with this, supply of essential commodities to citizens should also be ensured. Poor sections of society should be considered as Daridra Narayan and proper arrangements should be made for their food and lodging. Not only this, understanding the problems of the students and the elderly, they should be provided necessary help. All necessary measures should be taken keeping a constant watch on the condition of the disease. Masks and sanitizers should be used keeping in mind the distance between individuals.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also gave clear instructions that in case of financial problem, the amount of rent should not be taken this month from any tenant. No action should be taken like asking them to evacuate the house. Complaints received in this regard will be taken seriously. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan told the collectors that all people have to be protected from Corona. It is a war of sorts and everyone on duty is a warrior. We have to win this war. Corona is in front of us in the form of an enemy against humanity. We will overcome it with our strong resolve.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also praised some innovations made by the collectors to combat Corona during video conferencing. These include collection of information of external workers and other citizens through Google Sheet by Seoni Collector, monitoring of health status, reducing number of OPDs in hospitals to implement social distancing and conducting consultation of doctors with citizens through whatsapp and video-calling by Vidisha Collector, systematic arrangement of food for people of Chhattisgarh by Anuppur Collector and providing bicycles to two children who broke their piggy bank to provide their savings to the needy by Neemuch Collector.

The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the date of wheat procurement was fixed from April 1, but due to the highest priority of controlling the coronavirus, the dates are being rescheduled. Decision will be informed soon in this regard. All necessary arrangements will be made for the wheat procurement. Shri Chouhan instructed to ensure availability of harvester and arrangement for servicing of harvester as well as other agriculture equipments besides other making other arrangements. He also directed to make arrangement to provide meals to the vehicle drivers at a distance of 25-30 k.m. through Dhabas. At the video conference, most of the Collectors have informed that during the lockdown period they are not only getting cooperation from social organisations like Seva Bharti, Gayatri Parivar and other communities but are also getting full support from the public representatives. Not only this, several doctors are giving consultation to the citizens on humanitarian ground. They are also getting full cooperation form various religious leaders and affluent class.

The Chief Minister directed the Collectors that along with the free gas cyclinders for three months under the Ujjawala Yojana as per the package announced by the Prime Minister and other facilities, two months pensions of all types Rs. 2 thousand to each family of Baiga, Sahriya and Bhariya tribes, mid-day meals to the students should be provided from the government.

Moreover, Shri Chouhan said that the salaries of labourers, working in the factories should not be deducted. If the production is closed in the factory, in this case too, the amount of the labourers should not be deducted. This should be ensured by all the Collectors. He said that transportation related to all essential services should not be stopped, there should be no shortage of flour under any circumstance and special heed should be given on increasing the quantity of sanitizers, masks and PPE kits.

The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that close watch should be kept on the situation of Indore and other cities with more cases. Every citizen has to be constantly aware of his/her health as well as his/her family and the society as a whole. He directed the Collectors for conducting daily health checkup of suspected coronavirus infected persons and to issue a medical bulletin at district level. Also, information should be given as regard to controlling Corona with positive works.

The Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains said that with regard to Indore, it is also necessary to keep in mind that the supply of essential commodities that is done in the state and the country through Indore should not be affected. The Chief Secretary informed that the production condition at Singrauli Thermal Power Station including Indore, Pithampur, Mandideep located organisations and other industrial organisations of the state is normal and not interrupted. We have to protect the human health as well as the economy from the Corona crisis, therefore the administrative officer should play an active and conscious role in this direction. The collectors informed that most of the reports, which have come after the tests are negative but all the arrangements have been ensured with constant vigilance.
