To assist in implementation of Vocational Training Improvement Project (VTIP) assisted by World Bank for upgradation of ITIs of Madhya Pradesh into Center of Excellence. Directorate Training M.P. invites the applications for Consultants & Computer Programmer on Contract basis. Details are as follows.

Name of the post : Project Consultant (Monitoring and Evaluation Unit)

No. of the Post : One

Location : Jabalpur

Eligibility Criteria :

A. Educational : M.B.A. from a reputed Organization/PGDBM (2 years),

Qualifications (B.E. along with M.B.A./PGDBM 2 years, will be given preference)

B. Age : Not exceeding 30 Years.

C. Desired Skill : Good written and communication skill with Proficiency in computer and Web-internet Applications, Knowledge of English language is must.

Remuneration : Consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 15000/-

Reporting : The Project Consultant (Monitoring & Evaluation Unit) will report to State Project Director, SPIU.

Duration of the : The Initial assignment will be for a period of 11 months on contract basis

Assignment with a scope for renewal, based on Satisfactory performance.

Extent of touring : The Extent of touring will be medium. The Consultant is expected to periodically visit ITIs located in different places of M.P. State.

Duties and Responsibilities

Project Consultant (Monitoring & Evaluation Unit), Under the guidance of the Additional State Project Director is responsible for :

Maintaining the project MIS at the state level.

Monitoring the implementation of the project on a day to day basis.

Liaising with the Monitoring and Evaluation specialists at the national level, providing information on issues (problem and solutions) for the national clearing houses.

Assisting the Monitoring and Evaluation specialist at the national level to incorporate baseline data on the performance of institutions into the MIS.

Implementing and overseeing procedures for the regular monitoring of performance of institutions participating in the project. This will include procedures for assisting with ad hoc surveys (such a tracer studies and surveys of employer's attitudes.)

Undertaking regular field visits in order to monitor institutions using a simple checklist, and consolidate quarterly monitoring reports based on the checklist. Propose any corrective action that needs to be taken. This should be acted on by the SPD. The NPIU Monitoring & Evaluation Unit is responsible for collating these monitoring reports from SPIUs, and preparing semi-annual monitoring report.

Eligibility Criteria :

A. Educational : B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/or MCA, with first class

Qualifications : or atleast 60% Marks or Equivalent (Minimum 1 Year experience in Development of web based applications).

B. Age : Minimum 21, Maximum 30 Year

C. Desired Skill : 1. Ability to apply technical standards, principles, theories and Techniques. 2. Experience with Programming languages such as Java, C++, Python. 3. Database systems experience with SQL Server, Oracle. 4. Possesses Problem solving capabilities. 5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Remuneration : Consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 10,000/-

Reporting : Computer Programmer will report to State Project Director, SPIU

Duration of the : The Initial assignment will be for a period of 11 months on contract basis

Assignment with a scope for renewal, based on Satisfactory performance.

Duties and Responsibilities;

Computer Programmer Under the guidance of the Additional State Project Director is responsible for :

1. Code, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technology.

2. Refine data and format final product.

3. Maintain and modify programs; make approved changes by amending flow charts, develop detailed programming logic and coding changes.

4. Test and develop programming modifications.

5. Write new program code using prescribed specifications.

6. Evaluate simple interrelationships between programs such as whether a contemplated change in one part of a program would cause unwanted results in a related part.

7. Analyze performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of supervisor.

8. Confer with users to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing programs. Resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements and inclusion of internal checks and controls.

9. Write and maintain programming documentation.

10. Analyze NT client/server and micro-computer based software solutions compatibility with company requirements.

11. Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed.

12. Document programming problems and resolutions for future reference.

13. Assist personnel of other departments as a computer resource.

14. Other duties as assigned.
