4. Eligibility of
Sports
(a)
Sportsmen who have represented the State Schools
teams in the National Sports/Games for Schools
conducted by the All India School Games Federation.
(b)
Sportsmen who have been awarded ‘National Awards
in Physical Efficiency under the National Physical
Efficiency Drive.
(c)
Potential players who have not represented Schools
in any sports competitions but otherwise possess.”
the level of standard in his sports/games events.
(d)
In addition. suitability of the candidates will also
be assessed in the field of sports, viz, the
discipline in which they are proficient.
5.
Physical Efficiency Test :
There will be one mile run in six and half minutes,
3 feet six inch high jump 11 feet long jump and test
trial in sports discipline for which candidate
applied.
6.
Written Test: There will be objective type
(GK) test for 25 marks and descriptive type test viz,
essay writing, dictation and mathematics etc
(Hindi/English only) for 25 marks.
7.
Interview: There
will be interview to check personal bearing,
response, orientation general level, of intelligence
etc (language Hindi/English). Medical examination
will be conducted as per BSF Medical Manual. Bonus
marks for NCC/ITI diploma & certificate holders
and National/State/University level sportsmen will
be given.
8.
How to Apply and by which Date:
Application in the prescribed format at -Annexure-II
either typed or neatly hand written on one side only
of full scape paper with passport size photograph
affixed on application be sent to Inspector
General FTR HQ BSF SOUTH BENGAL, 2-B, LORD
SINHA ROAD, KOLKATA-71 so as to reach this HQ
not later than 15th May 2008 through
registered post along with following documents: -
(a)
Postal order or demand draft for Rs. 50/- only in
respect of General/OBC candidates payable In favour
of IG, BSF SB payable at SBI Service Branch Kolkata
Code No.8554 (a/c payees Draft will not be
accepted).
(b)
Attested copies of certificate/testimonial as proof
of educational qualification and age/date of birth.
(c)
Attested copy of caste/category certificate for
SC/ST/OBC candidates given by an officer not below
Tehsildar or SDO/SDM etc.
(d)
Attested copy of domicile certificate issued by an
Officer not below Tehsildar or SDO/SDM etc.
(e)
One self-addressed envelope of size 23 x 10 cms with
postage stamp for Rs. 5/- affixed on envelope and
bearing name and full postal address with pin code.
The envelopes should have the inscription: “APPLICATION
FOR THE POST OF CT (GD) AGAINST SPORTS QUOTA”.
(f)
A SEPARATE form for admit card with affixed a
PASSPORT SIZE PHOTOGRAPH duly attested by a Gazetted
Officer will also be filled up as per annexure-III
alongwith application form.
(g)
Attested copy of community certificate of Gorkha/hill
areas for relaxation in height etc.
9.
Selection process:
Admit card containing roll number and general
instructions for recruitment test/interview will be
issued 15 days before commencement of test/interview
to the eligible candidate. They will be called to
participate in Recruitment Rally at selection Centre
for which No TA/DA is admissible. Incomplete
applications will be summarily rejected and no
correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
10.
Persons serving in Govt./Semi Govt. departments may
send their applications through proper channel
alongwith ‘No objection Certificate’ as per
format given in annexure-I.
11. NO APPLICATION
WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER 15th May, 2008.
