Under
RCH Programme, IMNCI Strategy is being implemented
in identified districts of M.P., for strengthening
child survival health initiative in the identified 8
districts IMNCI Coordinators are to appointed with
UNICEF support on contractual basis for period of
one year.

Katni, Sheopur, Gwalior &
Shahdol districts. |
1.Post
Graduate degree or Diploma in Paediatrics/PSM
or Public Health/ Post
Graduate degree or Diploma in Health or
Hospital administration (One
year experience of working closely in field
of child health with developmental
sector or with Government for implementation
of RCH programme
would be preferred.)
2.MBBS degree with at least two years
experience of working in public health can
also apply.
Responsibilities for District IMNCI
Coordinator :
-
Provide
support, monitoring and oversight to the
acceleration of child survival
high impact interventions and IMNCI,
ensuring regular documentation
of progress and course corrections.

Support standardization and supervision of
IMNCI.

Planning, Monitoring and Implementation of
IMNCI programme and other
child health and nutrition interventions in
the district.

Ensure documentation and dissemination of
IMNCI experience.

The
consultant will help in review of the
programme to accelerate
reduction
in IMR and under five mortality rates in the
district.

In addition State is developing a
mechanism for providing quality institutional
care for referred of sick new born through
establishing Sick
New Born Care Unit (SNCU) as a complement to
community- IMNCI.
The consultant would plan and monitor
development of SNCU in district to provide
continuum of care between community and
Institution. Promote
use of ORS and Zinc in Diarrhoea management.
