Amar Singh becomes autorickshaw owner

Bhopal : Tuseday, June 23, 2008 Updated 20:44 IST

Amar Singh who used to eke out an income by driving others' autorickshaws on hire has now become owner of an autorickshaw himself. Amar Singh, son of Vijay Singh Muniya who resides at Deendayal Nagar in Ratlam, had moved an application for loan under self-employment scheme of Tribal Finance Development Corporation conducted by Tribal Welfare Department. Acting speedily on his application, the department officials extended him loan worth Rs one lakh on much cheaper rates. Later, the keys to the autorickshaw purchased from this amount were handed to Amar Singh by Ratlam's additional collector. Deputy Commissioner Tribal Development was also present on the occasion.

On getting the autorickshaw, Amar Singh said from now onwards he will not have to hire others' autorickshaw. Now he will drive his own vehicle, work hard and repay the loan installments apart from supporting his family financially in a better way. He is happy that he will now get full reward of his hard labour.
