The
girls in the rural areas are feeling quite happy and
enthusiastic in prosecuting their further studies with
the distribution of bicycles to them free of cost by
the State Government. This appears to be quite evident
from the smile on the faces of rural girls who have
received the bicycles form the government.
This
welcome step by the government has enhanced the
interest of the girls towards their studies along with
the awakening of self-confidence in them. It is hoped
that the girls will now learn their lessons with
greater interest. The parents of the girls are also
more happy since the amount they could have spent on
buying bicycles for their daughters would be useful
for their other domestic needs.
An
eighth class student Lalita of Khalwa development
block in Khandwa district is quite happy to feel that
there would be no difficulty in her further studies
and that she would be able to reach her school in
time. Another girl Rajshree studying in IX class in
Ashapur High School is so happy to receive the bicycle
as she had never thought in her dream that a bicycle
would be donated to her by the state government. While
expressing her gratitude towards the Chief Minister,
Shri Babulal Gaur, she felt that he had taken the
decision for distributing bicycles free of cost to the
poor girls like her to enable them to prosecute their
further studies.
Hundreds
of other girls like Jyoti Ramchandra and Kiran of
village Sawjikheda, Asha of Medhapani, Varsha Singh of
high school Sunderdev, Anita of village Singot in
Khandwa tehsil, and Meena Mamta and Parwati, all of
them recipients of the bicycles free of cost, felt
that now they would not have to walk down a distance
of two kilometres to reach their respective schools.
All of them feel that they will now reach their
schools in time and will not have to waste their time
on going on foot to schools and return home in the
same manner. Therefore, now they would be able to
study in a better way.
The
parents of these girls are also extremely happy with
the distribution of bicycles free of cost to their
daughters by the state government and felt that this
welcome decision has been taken for the first time by
any government. In this manner, 380 bicycles have been
distributed to the poor girls going to schools in
Khandwa district so far.
