Residents of Mustara village vow to maintain cleanliness

All the residents of a Gokul Gram Mustara in Mehgaon development block in Bhind district have taken a unanimous pledge to make their village a clean and ideal one in entire Madhya Pradesh.

This historic and exemplary decision was taken by the entire gram sabha of the village at its meeting recently. The gram sabha took a unanimous vow to make the village clean and green and in case of its violation the gram panchayat authorised the gram sabha to take penal action against the resident at fault.

This incident took place at a public grievances redressal camp in Mustara village. By taking this vow, the residents of the village have set an worth emulating example before the administration.

All the families of the village unanimously took oaths in an affidavit filed before the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Mehgaon and other officers of the administration that they would be responsible for cleaning the rubbish in the entire village.

The residents of the village also decided that a person in front of whose house a heap of rubbish or filth is found would be fined Rs. 1500. In case the resident does not correct his habit seven days after the payment of fine, steps will be taken against to send him to civil jail. The residents of the village also decided to paint all the houses with one colour, so that their village will have a separate look. They express this desire before the officers of the administration.
