Suman Bai recovered health under Dindayal

Upachar Yojana

Bhopal : Friday, August 05, 2005 Updated 20:29 IST

A poor woman, Suman Bai, resident of a village Khadkod about 15 km away from Burhanpur district headquarters, heaved a sigh of complete relief after she was cured of her stomach disease under the state government's Deendayal Upachar Yojana.

A tribal woman, Suman Bai was suffering from stomach disease for the four years last and she was not able to get proper treatment because of financial stringency. With the result her disease increased day by day making her unable to bear it its pain.

On receiving information about Deendayal "Antyoday Upchar Yojana" being conducted by the state government, she got prepared a "family health card". When she went to the district hospital at Burhanpur with the card, she was medically examined. It was found in the examination that there was a cyst in her stomach.

She was then operated upon and the cyst was removed from her stomach. During her treatment blood was also made available to her. The operation was done free of cost and the necessary medicines were arranged for her without any payment under the scheme.

Suman Bai feels that she is cured completely with the treatment received under Deendayal Upachar Yojana.
