With
a view to providing the
best educational
facilities to the talented
girls of the scheduled
castes and scheduled
tribes in the
predominantly tribal
areas. Kanya Shiksha
Parisars have been
established in Dhar,
Shahdol and Chhindwara
districts.
These
"Parisars" have
been established for
providing an ideal
financial help and the
best atmosphere to the
talented SC and ST girls.
Accordingly, 315 seats
have been sanctioned in
the "Kanya Shiksha
Parisar" at Kukshi in
Dhar district. Of these
seats, 252 are meant for
ST girls, 47 for SC girls
and 16 for the girls of
other castes. Similarly,
245 seats each for ST and
SC girls in the Kanya
Parisar at Pushparajgarh
in Shahdol district and at
Chhindwara. The 12 seats
are reserved for other
girls. Admission is given
in VI, IX and XI classes.
Classes from VI to XII are
held in each Kanya Parisar.
For each class 35 seats
have been sanctioned.
The
ST and SC girls who have
secured 60 percent or more
all eligible for admission
in the next class at these
"Parisars". This
facility can be availed by
the girls only who are
residents of any district
in the state for seeking
admission to the next
classes to the residents
of any district in the
state.
The
eligible ST and SC girls
will have to send their
applications to the
principal of the
concerning institute by
June 30 along with the
copies of mark sheets of
the previous classes,
school leaving and caste
certificates. Generally
the last date for
admission to such
institution is July 15.
The
admitted girls in the
"Parisars" are
paid monthly scholarship
of Rs. 360 for 10 months.
Rs. 60 are paid separately
for their meals per month.
Financial help of Rs. 350
for uniform is also given
to girls once in a
session.
The
girls of these
institutions are provided
housing facility,
textbooks and reference
books free of cost.
Besides, other facility
like TV, newspapers,
computer training and
writing material are also
supplied to them free of
cost. The girls seeking
admission to these
institutions may contact
the Collector, assistant
commissioner, district
convenor and the principal
of the institute in the
concerning district.
