A
scheme is also being implemented to
make the payment of the electricity
charges and arrival allowance to the
students, both female and male, of
the scheduled castes and tribes, who
have been admitted to the post
matric hostels.
This
scheme is aimed at making the
payment of the arrival allowance to
these students admitted to the post
matric hostels in place of providing
them the articles for their personal
use like plate, glass, bed sheet,
katori, bed, Blanket, pillow, small
durry etc.
Under
this scheme, the students admitted
to the post matric hostels are paid
Rs. 500 in the first year, Rs. 250
in the second year and Rs. 200 in
the third year in the form of
arrival allowance through cheques.
In addition to this, electricity
charges upto the limit of 25 units
are paid per student per month.
There
is a provision to make the payment
of the arrival allowance through
cheques to them soon after they are
admitted to the hostels. The
students receiving the arrival
allowance are free to buy the
articles for their personal use from
the market or to bring them from
their homes. The amount of the
electricity charges for 25 units per
month are paid to the managing
committee of the hostel
The
students desiring to get the
benefits of the arrival allowance
and to fulfil the facility of the
electricity expenditure can contact
the assistant Commissioner of the
department, district concern and the
superintendent of the concerning
hostel.
