The rules of the hostel facilities scheme are applicable for the male and female students of S.C. and S.T. of Madhya Pradesh studying in the higher education institutions in Delhi.

This scheme is aimed at providing the lodging and other facilities like water, electricity expenses and make scholarship available to the students of S.C. and S.T. categories of M.P. studying in the higher education institutions in Delhi.

The hostel facility is limited to the girl and boy students of S.C. and S.T. of M.P. styding in Delhi cosmopolitan city only. This facility is made available to them in the hostels of different universities and colleges located in Delhi.

Under this scheme, the eligibility of the male and female students is that they should be original residents of Madhya Pradesh and their castes must have been mentioned in the announced lists of S.C. and S.T. of Madhya Pradesh. It is compulsory for the students of these categories. They should have been admitted in the first year of the degree course or in the higher classes or should have been studying or admitted to professional courses, government or the private institutions recognised by the government. Besides, these male and female students must be eligible for getting the post-matric scholarships.

In addition to this, only those students, two have passed 10 + 2 board examination of 12th class from any school in Madhya Pradesh. This examination should have been organised by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or the M.P. Board of Secondary Education.

Admission will be given by the competent officer of the concerning university or college. For getting the benefit of this scheme, the students will have to send the prescribed applications to the Special Commissioner, M.P. Government, New Delhi, through the concerning institution. The Special Commissioner will be competent to sanction amount under this scheme. These facilities can be given to all the eligible students of Madhya Pradesh in Delhi city.

Under this hostel facility scheme in Delhi city, the students will get the facility of the rent amount or Rs. 1000 whichever is minimum. Similarly, the students will get monthly Rs. 100 for meeting the expenses of water and electricity per head for 12 months. The students will get the monthly scholarship of Rs. 500 for 12 months. If the amount for water and electricity is more than Rs. 100 the students will have to pay the additional amount. The M.P. Government, S.C. and S.T. Welfare Department will have the authority for amendment or change in the scheme. The students of these classes admitted to the higher education institutions in Delhi may contact the collector of the concerned district, assistant commissioner or district convenor of the Tribal Welfare Department for getting the hostel facility in Delhi.
