Free text books to S.C., S.T. students

In order to increase percentage of literacy among the scheduled castes and tribes and to encourage primary and middle classes education among them text books are supplied to them free of cost.

Under this scheme, text books are made available to all the students studying in class one to fifth in the primary schools and the girls of all the categories and boys and girls of S.C. and S.T. studying in class VI to VIII in the government middle schools are provided with text books free of cost. All the districts in M.P. are included in this scheme.

The beneficiaries of this scheme are the students of all the categories in I to V classes and the girls of all categories and both boys and girls of S.C. and S.T. studying in VI to VIII classes.

To take the benefit of the scheme, the Text Book Corporation and the concerning officers of the districts may be contacted.

For seeking information about the scheme, the Collector, district education officer and assistant commissioner of Tribal Welfare Department may be contacted.
